A Mass of Christian burial for Edith "Edie" Marie Heinrich Peterson, 48, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Chapel in Lawrence. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Peterson died Sunday, March 8, 1998, at her home.

She was born January 10, 1950 in Lawrence, the daughter of Louis and Ruth Mabel Hadl Heinrich.

She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1968. She was a lifelong Lawrence resident. She worked at FMC for 22 years and formerly worked at Kansas University. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Center.

She married Dale Curtis Peterson on June 1, 1977. He survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Eric Curtis Peterson, of the home; a daughter, Amy Dawn Hastings, Lawrence; her mother and stepfather, Ruth Mabel and Aubrey Hagerman, Baldwin; a brother, Carl Louis Heinrich, Baldwin; a sister, Linda Kay Pritchard, Lawrence and a grandson.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, after which the family will meet friends until 8:30 p.m.

The family suggests memorials to the Breast Cancer Society or to American Legion Baseball.
